Jeanne Meyers joins AQR Law as Senior Counsel after more than three decades as General Counsel and then Executive Director of Legal Services and Labour Relations for the Health Sciences Association of British Columbia.

Since 2010, Jeanne has been the HSA’s lead negotiator, representing over 19,000 health care and social services professionals in over 250 agencies including acute care, long term care and community health.

In addition to her work in the labour movement, Jeanne practices in the areas of family law, civil litigation, and human rights. Jeanne has appeared at all levels of court in British Columbia and has also appeared before both the trial and appeal divisions of the Federal Court of Canada. She has represented union members and clients before numerous administrative tribunals including the Labour Relations Board, the Human Rights Tribunal, arbitration boards and disciplinary panels of professional regulatory bodies.

Jeanne also holds a Master’s Degree in Labour History. She has been a frequent speaker and panelist at legal conferences in the areas of employment, human rights and privacy law. Jeanne promotes alternative dispute resolution in all suitable circumstances in all areas of her practice.
